A shopper has issued a warning to other customers who use Instacart, an online grocery delivery service, after experiencing issues with her order.
Based on a report by The US Sun on January 20, 2023, The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed an order through Instacart, which is a third-party vendor of Kroger, and found that some items she had paid for were missing and there were additional charges on her order. She stated that the shopper who was assigned to pick up her order had added extra items for themselves and kept some of her requested items, resulting in an additional charge of $40.
This was not the first time the woman had experienced issues with Instacart. She reported another incident where she found an additional $15 in charges on her order. She said that she immediately reported these incidents to Instacart and was refunded for the additional charges, and the company also fired the employees involved for their fraudulent behavior.
Instacart has a strict policy against fraud and misconduct by its shoppers and will terminate those found to have committed such offenses. Customers are advised to check their receipts and report suspicious activity to the company to prevent financial loss and maintain the company’s reputation, according to a report by WREG on January 22, 2023.
