The tax rebates are one of the relief payments to be released by nine of the U.S. states, along with additional budgets and one-time payments. However, the latest relief payments have not been approved by the federal government yet. Fortunately, the state governments decided to provide their own relief payments. These relief payments aim to help Americans who are affected by the rising costs of sectors such as gas, food, and housing. 

List of Nine States

According to George, there are nine states the Americans can expect to release tax rebates of $75 to $1,700 this year. Such states are as follows: Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maine, Illinois, Idaho, Hawaii, Colorado, and California. Almost all of these states have already started releasing tax rebates and will carry on until January next year.

Approximately, there are millions of Americans who can expect to see the release of these tax rebates. Eligibility of the recipients of these tax rebates will base mostly on their current residence, the size of their household, the status of their tax filing, and their income. Unfortunately, some tax rebates might be released later than others. These tax rebates are via paper checks which may be released later due to paper shortage. On the other hand, direct deposit payments are expected to be released earlier.
