Pittsburgh, PA – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect across portions of northwest, southwest, and western Pennsylvania through noon Thursday, with snow and high winds expected to create hazardous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, areas including the higher elevations of Westmoreland, Fayette, and Indiana counties could see an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow. Gusts of wind reaching up to 40 mph are also forecasted, which may reduce visibility and complicate road travel.

The advisory warns of slippery road conditions that could impact Wednesday’s morning and evening commutes. Residents are urged to use caution and allow extra time for travel.

The affected areas include towns such as Ligonier, Ohiopyle, Donegal, and Tionesta in Pennsylvania, as well as parts of northern West Virginia, including Kingwood and Terra Alta.

The National Weather Service encourages the public to report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988 or through their social media platforms.

Travelers are advised to stay updated on road conditions and prepare for delays if heading through affected regions.
