Louisville, KY – Residents across Kentucky should prepare for a frigid week ahead, culminating in potential snowfall Friday afternoon. The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts temperatures plunging into single digits at night, with wind chills making it feel even colder.

According to the NWS, tonight will see lows around 11°F, with cloudy skies and light winds. Tuesday brings a brief respite with partly sunny skies and a high near 29°F. However, temperatures will drop back to 10°F Tuesday night. By midweek, highs will remain in the 20s, with cold winds and partly cloudy skies dominating.

Friday may bring light snow showers after 1 p.m., with a 50% chance of accumulation. Commuters are urged to plan accordingly for slippery roads and reduced visibility, particularly on I-64 and surrounding routes.
