Light snow and freezing drizzle are expected tonight, creating potentially hazardous road conditions in Northwest Indiana. Motorists should exercise caution, particularly near major roadways like I-69 and I-80/94, as slick spots could develop.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), lake effect snow showers will intensify on Wednesday, with accumulations reaching up to three inches in some areas. Wind chills are forecast to drop below zero by Wednesday night, making outdoor exposure risky. Residents are encouraged to dress warmly, check their vehicles for winter preparedness, and avoid unnecessary travel during snow showers.
