Milwaukee, WI – Freezing drizzle and light snow are creating slick conditions this evening across southeastern Wisconsin, particularly near Racine and Kenosha. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously as untreated surfaces may become icy.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, the light freezing drizzle will linger into early evening before moving offshore. Temperatures will plummet overnight, with lows between 10 and 15 degrees and wind chills dipping to single digits.
Tuesday brings a mix of sun and clouds, with highs reaching the low to mid-20s. Winds from the northwest will keep it feeling brisk. While Tuesday remains dry, flurries are expected to return Wednesday afternoon as highs range from 17 to 22 degrees. By Thursday, sunny skies will offer brief relief, but temperatures will stay in the teens.
Drivers traveling along I-94 and local roadways should prepare for potential delays tonight. Officials recommend slowing down, maintaining distance between vehicles, and avoiding sudden stops.
Looking ahead, snow showers are possible Friday afternoon into the evening, with accumulation unlikely. The extended forecast highlights cold conditions persisting through the weekend, with highs near 30 degrees by Saturday.
