The Sharks came off the tipoff hot, hitting five 3-pointers and jumping out to a 26-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. Pearland would continue to struggle from the field, with Shadow Creek up 41-9 at the half.
The Oilers ramped up their scoring in the 2nd half, but it was too little too late, with the Sharks topping the Oilers 82-41. Shadow Creek improves to 19-2 overall and 6-0 in district play. Pearland fell to 12-10 overall and suffered their first district loss, dropping to 6-1 at the district level. The Oilers play at South Houston next Friday, while Shadow Creek hosts South Houston on Tuesday night.
Michael Collins led the Sharks with 23 points, and Bryce Jackson, with four 3’s, added another 21 points. Julian Cuillier chipped in 12 points, while Aiden Law added 11 and Adin Lewis another 10.
Byron Bibbs led Pearland with 30 points.
