Get Up to $517 on December 3 & 5


According to Vibes.okdiario , The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) will continue issuing SNAP (Food Stamp) payments to eligible recipients throughout December 28. Some recipients have already received their benefits as early as December 1, and in certain states, payments have already been completed.

Hawaii’s SNAP Payments for December

In Hawaii, eligible recipients can receive up to $517 for a household of one. There are two paydays in Hawaii for SNAP payments in December: the first on December 3 and the second on December 5.

  • December 3 Payment: Recipients whose last name starts with the letters A to I will receive their SNAP benefits on December 3.
  • December 5 Payment: Those whose last name begins with J to Z will get their benefits on December 5.

For households with combined SNAP and cash assistance, payments will be available on January 1, 2025.

Other States with Higher SNAP Payments

Hawaii is one of the states offering higher-than-average SNAP payments, with only Alaska providing more. Alaskans received their payments on December 1, with amounts reaching up to $586 per individual, which is $69 higher than Hawaii’s maximum.

  • Alaska: The next SNAP payday will be on January 1, 2025.
  • United States Virgin Islands: Also issues SNAP payments on January 1, 2025.
  • Guam: Payments of up to $431 were issued by December 10, 2024. In contrast, individuals in the 48 contiguous states and D.C. can only receive a maximum of $292.

These payments aim to support eligible families and individuals throughout the month of December as part of ongoing efforts to provide food assistance.
