El Paso’s Downtown Bank Unveils Annual Holiday Train Display

Sunflower Bank launched its fourth annual Holiday Model Train Display on Tuesday, Nov. 26, offering a festive experience for the community. The display, located at 201 E. Main, Suite 200, will be open until Jan. 3. The event features a stunning collection of model trains and historically-inspired railroad scenes, designed to captivate families, train enthusiasts, and visitors alike.

This year’s display is presented by Sunflower Bank in collaboration with the Railroad Model and Historical Association of El Paso. A new addition to the exhibit is the inclusion of lavender ribbons, symbolizing support for cancer warriors in the El Paso community. The ribbons represent awareness and solidarity for those who have demonstrated strength in their battle against cancer. Visitors are invited to write messages on these ribbons to honor loved ones, and these heartfelt notes will be displayed in the building’s second-floor lobby throughout the holiday season.

The display also marks the beginning of the countdown to the Texas Tech Health El Paso’s Lighting Campus for Hope event, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, at the Texas Tech campus (130 Rick Francis St.). Cancer warriors and their families are encouraged to attend the event to be recognized and share their personal stories of resilience.
