Edgecomb, ME – A man wanted in connection with the December homicide of a Virginia man in Edgecomb has been arrested in California.

Maine State Police announced the arrest of 26-year-old Luke Krott, who was located Monday evening aboard a sailboat in a San Diego marina. Authorities allege Krott fatally shot 34-year-old William “Nate” Robinson of Austinville, Virginia, whose body was found in a trash barrel on December 3 in the Schmid Preserve.

According to investigators, evidence linked Krott to the crime scene, leading to an arrest warrant issued on December 12. Krott reportedly fled Maine, staying with his parents in Edgecomb before leaving the state. With assistance from the FBI, U.S. Marshals, and the San Diego Police Department, Krott was apprehended and is now held in San Diego Central Jail.

Krott awaits extradition to Maine, where he will face a murder charge. Officials credit local and federal law enforcement for their coordination in capturing Krott.

This case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Maine State Police.
