Boston, MA – Snow showers and strong winds will hit the Boston area overnight into Wednesday, impacting travel and outdoor activities. Forecasters warn of gusts up to 50 mph, along with snow squalls reducing visibility during the morning commute.
According to the National Weather Service, a cold front will move through early Wednesday, bringing isolated snow showers and blustery conditions. Accumulations will be light, but rapid snowfall and wind gusts could create hazardous conditions, especially on major roadways like I-90 and I-93.
Wednesday will see highs near 41°F, with snow showers tapering off by the afternoon. Winds will remain strong, with gusts up to 29 mph. By nightfall, temperatures will drop to 16°F, with clearing skies.
Thursday brings sunny skies but cold temperatures, with a high near 28°F. Friday warms slightly to 44°F, but rain and snow showers will return.
Drivers should use caution during Wednesdays commute, as sudden bursts of snow could cause slick roads and poor visibility. Keep an eye on changing conditions and prepare for strong winds.
