Salt Lake City, UT – A new round of snow showers is expected Sunday morning, impacting road conditions and visibility across the area. With temperatures dropping to a low of 18°F overnight and wind chills in the teens, drivers should prepare for slick surfaces and potential delays.
According to the National Weather Service, light snow accumulation of less than half an inch is forecast tonight and early Sunday. Snow will taper off by mid-morning, giving way to partly sunny skies and a high near 34°F. Winds will remain light, though drivers on I-15 and other major highways should exercise caution as untreated roads may become icy.
Looking ahead, the weather takes a calmer turn with partly cloudy conditions Sunday night and a low around 18°F. Monday will be sunny but cold, with a high near 31°F. Overnight lows will continue to dip into the teens through midweek. By Tuesday and Wednesday, skies will clear, and temperatures will slowly rise, reaching highs near 36°F.
Travelers and residents are advised to monitor updates and avoid unnecessary travel during snow events. Keep vehicles stocked with winter essentials and plan ahead for the frigid overnight lows.
