Pleasant 4-day period on its way before rainy next week

Posted inLatest News

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette is getting ready for a pleasant and warm weekend and, despite some rain, today and tomorrow will be nearly as nice as well. Today will see a high near 74 degrees with 7-16 mph breezes.

Thunderstorms and showers will be possible later in the evening tonight, specifically between 8-9 p.m. The rest of the evening will be somewhat cloudy. A low of 48 degrees and just 6 mph winds are expected.

Tomorrow will once again present a slight, 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms, but will otherwise be a pretty nice day. The high will once again reach 74 degrees, while winds will blow only around 7 mph. The expected rain for the area should come in the early afternoon.

No rain will be expected Friday night, nor will rain be expected at all until around Monday night. Saturday and Sunday, then, will be extremely warm, clear and only somewhat breezy days unlike anything the area has seen this year so far; the highs for the two days will be 82 and 84 degrees, respectfully.

Even the evenings both nights will be relatively warm, as the lows for both nights won’t fall below the 50s. The only thing that could have perhaps made the upcoming weekend more ideal was even calmer winds, though wind speeds of 10-14 mph and 11-15 mph for the two days are small fry compared to what Wyoming is capable of.

Gillette residents should enjoy these pleasant few days while they can, as more rain is incoming. From Monday night on, every day and every evening to the end of the National Weather Service stations’s seven-day forecast will present rain and thunder. See the detailed forecast below for more information.
