GILLETTE, Wyo. — A foggy morning will reveal a somewhat sunny afternoon in Gillette today. Meanwhile, area residents can look forward to temps rising into the 80s over the course of the next few days.
Today will see a high of just 65, however. Winds will begin blowing between 5-10 mph and will increase to 12-17 mph in the afternoon. Tonight’s low will be 45 degrees and will come alongside 17 mph winds.
Tomorrow will break back into the 70s, as the high will be 74 degrees. Winds will remain similarly strong to today, though winds tomorrow night will finally calm down to around 7 mph.
Friday will start with a small chance of rain showers, but the entire day will only see a 20% chance of precipitation. Thunderstorms will also be possible after 3 p.m. The high for the day will be 75 degrees.
The start of the weekend will see the arrival of 80-degree weather, which should hang around until Monday, according to the National Weather Service station in Rapid City, South Dakota.
