GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Donkey Creek Music Festival is on for June with the Gillette City Council approving a special event permit during their Tuesay night meeting.
The Donkey Creek Music Festival is a free outdoor event that is open to the whole family. It features live music, food and drinks, vendors, and live music from regional artists, according to the festival website. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, June 21.
According to the council agenda, the special event permit, which includes an open container permit, was requested by Big Lost Meadery and includes a street closure on Warren Avenue between 1st and 2nd Street.
All of Big Lost Meadery will be open for festival goers, plus Warren Avenue between 1st and 2nd Street, the Willow Tree parking lot, and the 2 Guys’ Deco parking lot. The meadery estimates there will be around 500 people at the event, and drinks will be allowed over the entire festival area.
According to the event page, the 2025 artist lineup is as follows:
- 11 a.m. – Marlee Holdeman
- 12:30 p.m. – Harpoon, the Whale
- 1:45 p.m. – Rock Band Camp
- 3:30 p.m. – Denizens of the Deep
- 5:30 p.m. – Josh Dorr
- 7 p.m. – The Fretliners
- 9 p.m. – Aaron Davis and the Mystery Machine
