GILLETTE, Wyo. — The annual 4th of July Parade got the green light Tuesday night with the Gillette City Council approving a permit and associated street closures for the Independence Day celebration.
According to the city council agenda, the 2025 4th of July Parade theme is Blazing Bravery, Burning Bright, and will honor the Campbell County Fire Department.
The parade route will run along 2nd Street starting at the corner of Osborne Avenue from east to west, ending at S. Burma Avenue and heading north. Staging will take place on 1st Street and all side streets leading to 2nd Street, all of which will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., the agenda states.
Additionally, this year a parade organizer intends to ask for a flyover from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.
