
GILLETTE, Wyo. — Today begins a short, three-day period of warmer temps and little to no rain for the Gillette area. Sunny skies and a high near 64 degrees are in store for residents today.
Winds today should also be extremely calm, only increasing to 6 mph in the afternoon. They’ll pick up further later in the evening, where they will increase to around 5-10 mph with occasional 17 mph gusts. By then, the night’s low will be around 35 degrees.
Tomorrow is where the real nice weather arrives. Saturday will be as warm as 76 degrees with just 6-9 mph winds. The evening will get down to 44 degrees, but will also see increasing winds.
Winds will continue to pick up into Sunday, where they will average between 14-18 mph. The rare gust will likely peak as high as 28 mph. Sunday should otherwise be very pleasant, with sunny skies and a high near 78 degrees.
Monday and the start of the new week will see the return of rain showers and thunderstorms to Gillette. Monday stands a 40% chance of showers over the area, while Tuesday’s chances will decrease beyond that. By Wednesday, rain will once again disappear from the radar.
