Rainy day today before pleasant, clear weekend – County 17

Posted inLatest News

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Showers, thunderstorms and wind will make an all-day appearance across the Gillette and greater Campbell County areas today before sunnier days arrive.

After 9 a.m., the area will see a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms and patchy fog before then. The high today will be around 52 degrees, meanwhile winds will blow between 8-18 mph and up to 29 mph occasionally.

Scattered and isolated showers will take over after 9 p.m. later tonight, but won’t make too strong of an impact over the whole of the area. Tonight’s low will be around 32 degrees. Winds will stay around 12-17 mph and could still peak around 28 mph.

After a not-so ideal Thursday, Friday and the weekend will be much nicer. Tomorrow will be sunny and see a high near 65 degrees. Wind won’t interfere with much either, as it should only come in at a gentle 5-7 mph. Friday night will be much the same, with a low of 37 degrees and 5-10 mph winds.

Saturday and Sunday will both rocket into the 70s, though they will be slightly windier than tomorrow. No rain will be present either days as well; both will be utterly sunny and pleasant.

The start of the new week will reintroduce rain and thunderstorms to the Gillette forecast at least through Wednesday. Temps will drop back down to the high 50s as storm clouds blanket the sky. See the detailed forecast below for more information.
