LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming wrestling team will have quite a few athletes participating in the 2025 U.S. Open. A total of six will suit up in a tournament being held at The Expo at World Market Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Thursday to Sunday.
Brett McIntosh (72 kg) will take part in the Senior Greco-Roman competition on Thursday and Friday. Christian Herrera (65 kg), Westen Hoffschneider (79 kg), Tucker Bowen (57 kg), Antonio Avila (70 kg) and John Alden (65 kg) will all go in the U20 freestyle competition Saturday and Sunday.
Athletes competing this week have the opportunity to advance to either Final X or the U.S. World Team Trials.
