Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said officers responded to a city park around 8:35 a.m. after a 68-year-old man reported seeing a hit-and-run involving city property. The man said he was on a walking path when he heard a scraping noise, and he looked up in time to see a disconnected flatbed trailer hit a light pole.
