Correspondingly, police believe that the father of the missing child was the suspect of both deaths. On March 31, St. Petersburg Police have discovered 2-year-old Taylen Mosley dead inside an alligator’s mouth. His mother, Pashun Jeffery, 20, was also found dead with over 100 stab wounds the day before. Reports say Taylen was discovered after an AMBER alert (child abduction emergency alert) was issued for him. The alligator was then killed to obtain the missing child’s body.
According to Acosta, police believe that Taylen’s father, Thomas Mosley, 21, threw the missing child into the Lake Maggiore. Thereafter, Thomas was accused of stabbing Jeffery to death at her apartment in St. Petersburg. Reportedly, Thomas arrived at his mother’s house with severe lacerations in his hands and arms.
Charges Faced by Missing Child’s Father
According to Rahman, Thomas is being held in the Pinellas County Jail and faced charges of two counts of first-degree murder for the death of his missing child and partner. To date, Thomas has not yet entered a plea to the charges he is facing.
However, Thomas’ defense lawyer Margaret Russell stated that because of the critical allegations toward her client, their investigation will be focused on collecting facts and circumstances such as Thomas’ mental state. Reports say, on April 11, Thomas is scheduled to appear in court.
