In 2021, Burak Hezar, then 20, stabbed his mom Isil Borat, 50, and sister Burcu Hezar, 17, to death. During further investigation, authorities discovered that Burak tried to suffocate Burcu with a pillow while sleeping. When Burcu woke up and tried to fight off Burak, he reportedly stabbed her to death. Burak then went to stab Isil to death while she was also sleeping.

According to True Crime Daily, when Burak’s stepfather came home early from a business trip on April 24, Burak did not allow him to go into Isil and Burcu’s rooms. When the stepfather tried to escape, Burak reportedly threatened him with a knife. Fortunately, the stepfather was able to escape and call 911. However, before Allen Police officers could arrive at the scene, the Collin County District Attorney’s Office stated that Burak has already fled.
