Milwaukee is expanding affordable housing options with four new projects. One, near Historic Mitchell Street will add 51 apartments and eight townhomes. Local developers are teaming up to ensure a mix of affordable and market-rate units, showing a commitment to inclusive living spaces.

Compass Lofts, another development, will offer 67 units at 3116 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. With $1.4 million in federal tax credits, it aims to bridge the gap between housing availability and affordability. The project reflects collaboration between public and private sectors, according to the report of BIZ Times.

Milwaukee’s Historic Patterson Place Revival: 40 New Affordable Units in Former School

Historic Patterson Place, a conversion project at 4116 W. Silver Spring Drive, will create 40 units in a former school. Securing $1.3 million in federal tax credits and it preserves architectural heritage while addressing the need for affordable housing.

Union at Rose Park, a 75-unit development at 3030 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, blends state and federal resources. With $1.6 million in tax credits and promises modern amenities and income-sensitive rental options highlighting the power of partnerships in urban development.
