We took the 60 largest cities in Florida by population and compared them based on these factors
We have included other factors such as poverty rates and median income to narrow our range. However, these factors are weighted less than crime rates because poverty and income rates alone do not determine whether a city is safe. We break down how each element was weighted in our methodology section.
The data was obtained from the US Census, FBI, Florida State Crime Records, USA.com, and Best Places
