Illinois Man Sentenced To 19 Years After Enticing Minor Into Child Pornography

Domenique Dequon Hines of Illinois was sentenced to 19 years in prison for enticing a minor into child pornography. According to reports, Hines met the minor on a social media app in October 2020.

In September 2022, Domenique Dequon Hines, 25, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, has pleaded guilty to a charge of coercion and enticement of a minor. Four months later, in January 2023, he was sentenced to 19 years in prison. According to federal prosecutors in Boston last January 12, Hines asked a 14-year-old girl from Massachusetts to send him explicit images of herself. Hines allegedly met the victim around 6 weeks after serving time on another child pornography conviction. Hines and the victim reportedly began communicating in October 2020 on a social media app, as reported by Fox News.

Not An Isolated Case

According to Fox News, between Hines and the victim’s exchanges, it was confirmed that the suspect knew about the latter being 14 and informed her that he was 23. Hines then enticed and coerced the victim into taking explicit images and videos of herself and sending them to him. U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins confirmed that in less than two months after being released from prison for another child pornography offense, Hines went right back to sexualizing and exploiting children.
