Man Wanted For Murder By U.S. Marshals Arrest In Wellston

The U.S. Marshals Service captured a man wanted for murder out of Midwest City on Wednesday in Wellston.

“He was just bleeding everywhere and I didn’t know where it was specifically, I was doing what I could,” said Larry, who was there for Jacob Price’s last moments.

On November 19, Archer allegedly shot and killed Price in an apartment complex on E Reno Ave and W Glenhaven in Midwest City.

Larry claimed to have known Price for a long time and that he was a decent kid who would never hurt anyone.

The family established a GoFundMe page for Price in the hopes of being able to cover his memorial and funeral expenses.

According to court filings, a lady informed police that Archer was at the complex looking to purchase jewelry that day. She claimed that a lady Price had dated was living with her and that he lived in the same condominium.

That night, the woman stated that Archer departed to return to his truck and retrieve his wallet. She claimed that Price and Archer got into a fight that ended with a single gunshot.

Larry claimed he heard a gunshot and saw Price stumble to his door.

“The chair I had in front of my door got knocked to the side and he fell. I had him and called him over to lie down. My wife gave me a towel to stop all of the blood,” said Larry.

He stated that there was an apparent entrance wound that traveled through Price’s arm to the opposite side.

“My wife’s hollering, the girl is kind of half-hysterical, dispatch was hysterical. Jake’s mom comes down and she’s right there next to him screaming help my baby,” said Larry.

“He just quit moving and quit breathing, just right there,” said Larry.

Archer’s home is located in rural Wellston. On Tuesday, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office conducted a large manhunt for Archer, but it was unsuccessful, leading to the suspension of the search.

The United States Marshals Service issued a $10 million warrant poster Wednesday morning in the hopes of gathering information that would lead to Archer’s capture.

News 4 traveled to Archer’s property and spoke with neighbors, who were stunned to learn he was wanted for murder.

News 4 apprehended Archer while they were near the property.

Family and friends told News 4 they were relieved to hear this.
