John Leguizamo Jokes About White Actors in Latino Roles, Wants to Play Gwyneth Paltrow in Ski Accident Trial

On March 28, in The Daily Show, American actor and comedian, John Leguizamo, 62, joked about White actors playing Latino roles. The comedian stated he would also want to play as Gwyneth Paltrow, 50, in a TV show about her ski accident trial. After Leguizamo threw his punchline, a photo of his face photoshopped onto Paltrow’s body at trial appeared on the screen.

According to Suri, John Leguizamo, the Ice Age star had previously complained about Latino roles being played by actors of the wrong race. In 2022, the comedian also complained about James Franco, a quarter Portuguese, after being casted as a Cuban dictator. Last November, Leguizamo had urged to end the appropriation in Hollywood through an open letter published in the Los Angeles Times.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Ski Accident Trial

According to Haasch, in 2016, Paltrow was sued by a retired optometrist after the actress allegedly crashed into him while skiing. The incident was reportedly a hit-and-run that left the victim with a long-term brain damage.

Unfortunately, Paltrow’s legal problems unraveled in the headlines. The actress reportedly claimed that the optometrist caused the collision and counterclaimed for lawyers’ fees plus $1. The trial livestream also resulted to memes that included a viral clip where the complainant’s lawyer enthusiastically complimented Paltrow while interrogating her.
