Jeffrey Podolske Sentenced to 78 Months for Drug Charges in Rochester

A Rochester man has been sentenced to over six years in prison following a significant fentanyl bust that stemmed from a nationwide extraditable arrest warrant issued by authorities in New Mexico.

Jeffrey Charles Podolske, 58, was apprehended by Rochester police in 2022 during a traffic stop for driving a motorcycle without license plates. According to the criminal complaint, an officer observed Podolske placing a leather vest into the motorcycle’s saddlebag as the stop was initiated.

Previously linked to an address in New Mexico, Podolske faced charges of first-degree drug sales and second-degree drug possession. In August, he accepted a plea deal, admitting to the second-degree drug possession charge in exchange for the dismissal of the first-degree count.

This week, Podolske was sentenced to 78 months (6.5 years) in prison. He received credit for the 93 days he served in jail following his 2022 arrest.
